Wheel-thrown art
In an era of mass production, we champion the deliberate pace of handwork. Our studio in Darlinghurst's Pigeonhole is where Melbourne-trained ceramicist Sienna Kowalski, leather artisan Lachlan O'Brien, and candlemaker Freya Chen collaborate to create pieces that resist the disposable culture.
We source Australian beeswax from Byron Bay apiaries, vegetable-tanned leather from Adelaide tanneries, and clay from the Southern Highlands. Every material choice reflects our commitment to local supply chains and environmental stewardship.
Ceramicist
Trained at RMIT Melbourne, Sienna brings 12 years of wheel-throwing expertise. Her glazes are formulated from Australian minerals, creating earthy tones that echo the outback landscape.
Leather Artisan
Third-generation leatherworker from Tasmania, Lachlan specializes in traditional saddle-stitching techniques. His journals feature hand-cut covers and brass hardware sourced from heritage suppliers.
Candlemaker
Freya's background in aromatherapy informs her scent compositions. She blends native botanicals like eucalyptus, wattleseed, and lemon myrtle into candles that capture Australian seasons.
Freya hand-pours each candle using Australian beeswax and soy blend. The ceramic vessels are thrown by Sienna, creating a complete collaboration. Scents include Coastal Banksia, Rainforest Mist, and Desert Bloom.

Lachlan cuts and stitches each journal by hand using vegetable-tanned leather that develops rich patina over time. Brass hardware is sourced from a 100-year-old Melbourne supplier. Available with custom embossing.

Sienna throws each piece on her vintage Shimpo wheel, using clay from the Southern Highlands. Her signature glazes incorporate iron oxide and eucalyptus ash, creating surfaces that shift from ochre to deep charcoal.

Adelaide tanneries use bark extracts instead of chromium. The leather breathes, ages beautifully, and biodegrades naturally at end of life.
Iron-rich earthenware that fires to warm terracotta tones. Sienna sources directly from the quarry, ensuring traceability and minimal transport.
Eucalyptus, wattleseed, and lemon myrtle are steam-distilled by small-batch producers. These essences connect our work to Australian landscape.
Our Darlinghurst workshop welcomes visitors Tuesday through Saturday, 11am to 5pm. Watch Sienna at the wheel, see Lachlan's stitching bench, or discuss custom scent blends with Freya. We're located in the Pigeonhole building on Victoria Street, a heritage space that houses multiple maker studios.
Can't visit in person? We ship Australia-wide with carbon-neutral delivery through Sendle. International orders are assessed individually.
